A delightful cotton print depicting 19th Century children at play – see detail – in predominantly hushed olive green and orange on a black background. It is indeed very very sweet. The top part of the pinafore is fully lined and orange piping trim finishes off the square neck and the empire line panel. Slight curve on the upper panels of the pinafore to the empire line from which the skirt flares. Rear nylon zip. In a wonderful condition, it has been shortened at some stage. Could it be worn on its own….?
Famous for their peasant dresses in the 60s and 70s, Dollyrockers was one of the labels of the British Boutique Movement and this fabulous pinafore, like most of the Dollyrockers clothes, is designed by “Sambo” (Samuel Sherman).
